Short films

Our short films document the journeys of families navigating life with CACNA1C-Related Disorders and Timothy Syndrome. Through intimate storytelling and authentic voices, our films reveal the challenges, resilience and hope within our community.

They serve as both educational resources for the public and meaningful connections for those directly affected, demonstrating how collaborative networks strengthen our collective understanding of these rare conditions.

Connections

In this film, a collaboration between the Timothy Syndrome Alliance (TSA) and Cardiff University, we explore the importance of connections between individuals and families with lived experience of CACNA1C-Related Disorders (CRDs) and Timothy Syndrome (TS), academics, clinical teams and researchers. The more links we make, the stronger our network becomes and the faster we grow our understanding of our rare disease. Without connections, we can’t grow or learn.

Rare Strikes Back

Rare Strikes Back is an award-winning short film we made to coincide with Rare Disease Day on the 28th of February.

Timothy Syndrome Alliance

Timothy Syndrome Alliance is our first award-winning film.

In this film, we meet Calvin, who has Atypical Timothy Syndrome – now referred to as a CACNA1C-Related Disorder. The film highlights the challenges faced by families and how peer support, and the friendship and information that brings, can make a huge difference. Through the words of Calvin, his parents and other members of Timothy Syndrome Alliance, we learn how rare communities are ‘stronger together’.
