T-Shirt Design Challenge

A chance for your child’s creativity to be seen, shared and celebrated

We’re inviting children from our community to take part in something special.

We’re creating the official t-shirt for the 2026 TSA Connect CACNA1C Conference — and we want it to come from within our community.

Whether or not your family is attending the conference, your child can be part of it.

A design created at home could be worn by families, clinicians and researchers around the world – and by your child too, wherever they are.

Who can take part

  • Children and young people living with CACNA1C-Related Disorders, including Timothy Syndrome and LongQT8 (18 and under)
  • Siblings (18 and under)

No artistic experience needed – just an idea, a feeling, or a story to share.

Why take part?

For many families, opportunities to feel included, seen and connected can be limited.

This is one small way to change that.

  • Your child can express what CACNA1C means to them.
  • Their creativity can be shared with the wider community.
  • They can be part of something bigger, even from home.

Every entry matters.

What to create

There’s no right or wrong approach.

Your child might draw about:

  • what their journey feels like
  • hope, strength or progress
  • family, connection or care
  • science, discovery or the future

Simple drawings, bold ideas and personal meaning are all welcome.

How to submit a design

Email your child’s design to: susan@timothysyndrome.org

(Subject line: TSA T-Shirt Design Challenge 2026)

  • One original design (hand-drawn or digital).
  • Optional: a short sentence about the idea.

Tips

  • Keep it clear and easy to see.
  • Avoid very small details.
  • Use a few colours where possible.

File types: PNG, JPEG or PDF (a clear photo of a drawing is absolutely fine)

Key dates

  • Entries open: 20 April 2026
  • Deadline: 20 May 2026
  • Community voting: late May
  • Winner announced: 1 June 2026

How it works

All designs will be shared with the CACNA1C community.

The final selection will be based on:

  • community support
  • a small TSA panel (looking at creativity, meaning and clarity)

Families are welcome to share their child’s design, but there’s no pressure to “campaign”.

What happens next

  • One design will be featured on the official 2026 TSA conference t-shirt.
  • The winner will receive their own t-shirt featuring their design.
  • If they’re not able to attend the conference, they’ll still be able to wear their design at home – part of the same shared moment.
  • Finalists will be recognised as part of the conference.
  • Selected designs will be shared across TSA channels.

Even if your child’s design isn’t chosen, it will still be part of a collective moment for the community.

Conditions

This is about celebrating children’s creativity.

  • Designs should be created by the child.
  • AI-generated or copied images shouldn’t be used.
  • By submitting, you allow TSA to use and adapt the design for printing.

Why this matters

Not every family can travel. Not every child can attend. But every child can be part of this.

This t-shirt will carry their voices, wherever they are in the world.
